    A team of researchers from the University of Lausanne and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, led by Nicola Vannini, published an article titled "Urocitin A reverses the blood reconstitution capacity of 'senescent' haematopoietic stem cells" in the journal Nature Aging in August 2023. The team found that urolithin A was able to reverse the senescence of haematopoietic stem cells in aging mice, restoring their haematopoietic function. This study further highlights the key role of mitochondrial homeostasis in the regulation of urolithin A, which restores the viability of haematopoietic stem cells by improving their mitochondrial function.
