エピメディウム抽出物(epimedium extract)は、エピメディウム属(epimediumbrevicornum)や他のエピメディウム属の乾燥した茎や葉から加工された製品である。主な有効成分はフラボノイドで、エピメジウム・グリコシド、エピメジウム・ヒポグリコシド、エピメジウム・グランディフロラムグリコシドc、エピメジウム・アジアティクムグリコシドa、b、cなどがある。アンドロゲンのような効果があり、体の免疫力を高め、血圧を下げるために使用されます。黄色ブドウ球菌やポリオウイルスによる感染を明らかに抑制します。咳、去痰薬、喘息を抑える効果もあります。エピメジウムエキスは主に性機能を改善する健康用品の原料として使われる。
